Tough to beat their foundation paints, and their drybrush paint is handy too. Not a weakness per se, but it means you likely need to supplement it with other ranges. Haven't had any issues with the basic colours, but the range is a bit limited compared to the competition. Their metallics got great reviews in particular but I haven't had much of a chance to mess around with them. Nice selection, good colour matches with GW's old range (important for some people) and good quality.Īrmy painter is good too. I also find that because they don't colour match GW as much as Vallejo, they have some interesting colours that always catch my eyes. Reaper is great, and has the triads of colours making highlighting a breeze. Army painter washes are great if you got used to GW's devlan mud and babab black washes from their old range.
